Who we are
SmartestDesk is the publishing house of Richard Glenn Clark, JM · MBA · BA, doing business as SmartestDesk. We independently create and sell digital examination-preparation systems — manuals, practice examinations, and related study materials — under the SmartestDesk family of brands, including Lantern RN, SmartestDesk Nurse, Anchorline Clinical, Currentline Electrical, SmartestDesk Bar, and the SmartestDesk GACE and Praxis lines. By purchasing or using any SmartestDesk product, you agree to these terms.
What you are purchasing
Every SmartestDesk product is a digital product: access to proprietary study materials delivered electronically. You are purchasing a personal, non-transferable license to study from those materials for the access window stated on the product page at the time of purchase. You are not purchasing the copyright, the right to reproduce the materials, or admission to, affiliation with, or any outcome on any licensing examination.
Access codes and the two-device limit
After checkout, an access code is delivered to the email address you provide at purchase. That code unlocks your materials on up to two (2) devices. This limit is firm and is enforced without exceptions or resets. It exists to protect the integrity of original work and to keep pricing honest for every buyer. Please choose your two devices with care before activating.
Access windows
Each product page states its own access window (for example, 60 or 90 days from activation, depending on the product and tier). Your access window begins when your code is activated and ends when the stated period expires. Windows are not paused, extended, or transferred except where a specific product expressly provides otherwise.
Acceptable use
- Your license is personal. Sharing access codes, lending devices for the purpose of shared study access, reselling, or distributing any portion of the materials is prohibited.
- Copying, scraping, screenshotting for redistribution, reproducing, or creating derivative works from SmartestDesk materials is prohibited.
- We may revoke access, without refund, where we find code sharing, redistribution, chargeback abuse, or other material violation of these terms.
Intellectual property
All SmartestDesk materials are original works, researched from each examination's publicly available official blueprint and written independently. All rights, title, and interest in the materials remain with Richard Glenn Clark, JM · MBA · BA, d/b/a SmartestDesk. The exam names referenced across our brands are trademarks of their respective owners; see our Trademark Disclaimers.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe through secure checkout. We do not see or store your full card details. Prices are stated in U.S. dollars on each product page and at checkout. Our refund policy is set out separately in the Refund Policy.
What we do not promise
Our materials are preparation tools. Unless a specific product expressly states a defined guarantee in writing on its own product page, we do not promise that you will pass any examination, obtain any license, or achieve any particular score. Examination content, policies, schedules, and passing standards are controlled solely by the organizations that own and administer each examination.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SmartestDesk's total liability for any claim arising out of a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including examination fees, lost opportunities, or licensing outcomes.
The Give-Back referral
SmartestDesk offers a referral give-back of fifty U.S. dollars ($50) as a thank-you to purchasers who bring someone new to the SmartestDesk family. It works on these conditions, all of which apply:
- Qualifying referral. The person you refer must complete a purchase of any SmartestDesk product, their payment must be verified and not reversed, and their study must begin — meaning their access code is activated.
- Payout timing. The give-back is paid between fifteen (15) and thirty (30) days after the referred purchase, once payment verification and activation are both confirmed. This window exists so the payment can clear beyond reversal periods.
- Limit of one. The give-back is limited to one (1) per purchaser, regardless of how many people you refer. The first qualifying referral earns it; we still thank you for the rest.
- Refunds cancel the agreement. A refund or payment reversal on either purchase — yours or your referral's — cancels the referral agreement and any unpaid give-back. A give-back already paid on a purchase that is later reversed may be deducted or reclaimed.
- How to claim. Write to the support address on your purchase receipt with your receipt number and the name and email address your referral used at checkout. Claims must identify a real, verifiable purchase; self-referrals and purchases made solely to harvest the give-back do not qualify.
- Good faith. We administer this program in good faith and expect the same. We may modify or close the program prospectively at any time; qualifying referrals made before a change are honored under the terms in effect when the referral purchase was made.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the current version. Material changes apply to purchases made after the change takes effect.
