SmartestDesk keeps privacy simple because we keep data collection minimal. This site is a storefront: it shows you our exam-preparation systems and routes you to secure checkout. We collect only what is needed to sell you a product and deliver your access.
What we collect, and why
- Purchase information. When you buy, Stripe collects your name, email address, billing details, and payment information to process the transaction. We receive confirmation of your purchase and your email address; we never see or store your full card number.
- Delivery information. Your email address is used to send your access code and purchase confirmation. That is what it is for, and that is what it is used for.
- Access enforcement. To honor the two-device limit, our access system records which devices activate your code. This exists solely to enforce the license you purchased.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. To anyone. Ever.
- We do not run advertising or advertising trackers on this site.
- We do not send marketing email to purchase addresses unless you have separately chosen to receive it, and any such email includes a working way to opt out.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of established providers to operate: Stripe for payment processing, an email delivery service for sending access codes and receipts, and web infrastructure providers for hosting and content delivery. Each receives only the information required to perform its role, and each maintains its own privacy and security practices.
Cookies
This storefront does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Checkout pages operated by Stripe may use cookies necessary for secure payment processing, which are governed by Stripe's own policies.
Data retention
Purchase records are retained as required for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes. Access records are retained for the life of the product license and a reasonable period after.
Your choices
You may ask what information we hold about your purchase, request correction of inaccurate details, or request deletion of information we are not legally required to keep. Direct any such request to the support contact shown on your purchase receipt, and include the email address used at checkout so we can locate your records.
Children
SmartestDesk products are professional licensure preparation materials intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will change with it. We will not weaken the commitments on this page retroactively.
